Seasonally adjusted data show that Bulgaria’s industrial production in November 2022 increased by 0.7% compared with October 2022, the National Statistical Institute said on Tuesday, reporting early estimates. In November 2022 compared with November 2021, industrial production grew by 4.7%, according to working day adjusted data.
In November 2022 against October 2022, an increase was observed in electricity, heat and gas production and distribution (+33.6%), and decreases were recorded in the manufacturing industries (-1.9%) and the extracting industries (-0.1%).
Within the manufacturing industries, more considerable decreases were reported in the production of tobacco products (-34.9%); computers, communication equipment, electronics and optical products (-23.1%); pharmaceuticals and medicinal products (-10.5%); and basic metals (-10.3%).
Increases were observed in the production of chemicals (+14.0%); metal products, exclusive of machinery and equipment (+9.2%); and textiles and textile products, exclusive of apparel (+4.7%).
In November 2022 compared with November 2021, production rose in the manufacturing industries (+8.7%) and dropped in the extractive industries (-10.4%) and electricity, heat and gas production and distribution (-5.6%).Statistics
Considerable year-on-year increases in the manufacturing industries were reported in the manufacturing of metal products, exclusive of machinery and equipment (+57.6%); means of transport, exclusive of motor vehicles (+56.1%); drinks (+39.6%); and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (+33.1%).
Decreases occurred in the making of tobacco products (-30.8%); printing and recording (-16.2%); computers, communication equipment, electronics and optical products (-16.0%); and the processing of leather and the production of footwear and other leather items (-15.1%).
