With the new investment of the German giant, the company’s manufacturing facilities in Plovdiv become three

zx860y484_4278220The aim of the new production is to further utilise the synergy between the existing plants and to expand the activities of the group in Plovdiv. In a typical German manner the plan is organized and rapid – the company “Liebherr – Concrete Technology Maritsa” Ltd. was registered in early July with subject of activity manufacturing of concrete trucks. A few months later, the new factory has already been built and the production lines are partly in operation. High quality concrete mixers and components for them are already being produced, the company says, but so far they have not disclosed the amount of the investment. The official opening is scheduled for the middle of next year.

More importantly, the company has already established customer relationships with construction companies and concrete transport companies from many regions – not only in Europe. Ready-made concrete trucks are supplied to clients from all over Eastern Europe, Israel, Saudi Arabia and Russia. Pre-assembled equipment is shipped to the parent plant in Bad Schussenried in Germany and, after additional installations, is shipped to customers in Western Europe.

The German group chose Plovdiv for a manufacturing center at the end of the last century, and 20 years later it already has three companies. The first is Liebherr-Hausgerete Maritsa EOOD for the production of refrigerators and freezers, which has been operating since 2000. After the decision to enter Bulgaria 22 years ago, the company built a second plant in the Plovdiv region – for the production of air conditioning systems for trains. these activities are separate and operate under “Liebherr – Transport Systems Maritsa” EOOD. At the beginning of July, the German group registered a third company in Bulgaria – “Liebherr – Concrete Technology Maritsa” EOOD, with a subject of activity production of concrete trucks.

The new concrete mixer plant requires personnel with mainly metalworking and installation focus, but also requires electrical technicians. These are, for example, open spots such as engineers, mechanics, welders, logisticians, quality control specialists and administrative staff.
