Silistra –  Călărași ferry line was restored on March 15. The service is provided only by a Romanian transport operator, who has the ambition to make 7 courses daily (transporting around 140 trucks).

The activity of the authorities implementing obligatory border control at “Silista-Ferry” border crossing point was restored too.

Under decision of the Silistra Municipal Council the traffic of the vehicles exceeding the weight of 3,5 tons along the road network of the district town is temporarily suspended. Such vehicles are be allowed to cross the joint border crossing point at “Silistra-Ostrov”. They are allowed to cross via “Silistra-Ferry” border crossing point or the other border crossing points between Bulgaria and Romania.

“Silistra-Ostrov” border crossing point is open for cars and busses.
