US-based expedition vessels producer Bering Yachts begins work in the Bulgarian coastal city of Burgas this year. The company will unveil a shipyard here that will specialize in the full cycle of production of luxury transatlantic yachts and smaller speed boats.
Presenting a yacht at the Port of Burgas on 18 May, managers of Bering Yachts said that the company chose the Bulgarian city out of four European locations to expand their business. They have concluded contracts with 60 employees in Burgas to begin work on 1 June , and the plan is to increase their number to 300 by the year’s end.
Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov said that the company can rely on his and the municipal administration’s full support.
The Port of Burgas management said that the company’s activity will contribute to the development of yachting in Burgas while also providing jobs for qualified specialists in the field of yacht and superyacht construction.
Headquartered in North Carolina, USA, the company has offices in Florida, Monaco, and Limassol. With more than ten yachts planned to be built in 2022, the company expects stable growth of its business.
